Each deck must have:
- A minimum of 50 cards
- No more than 4 copies of any card
Each deck may have:
- A 10 card sideboard
- A 5 to 10 card aura deck (Channelers)
Basic Game play:
-Each player starts with 200 survival points
- Players will roll a dice or flip a coin to choose who goes first
- The player that wins will then choose to be the Active player or Passive Player
- If a player would draw a card with no cards in his/her deck, that player takes 10 damage. For each card drawn after this, the damage scales by 10.
Each player starts with 5 cards in hand, and draws a card on the first turn.
The max hand size is 7. If at the end of a turn a player has more than 7 cards in hand, that player must discard down to 7.
Active Player- Since players take simultaneous turns, one player will be active, while the other is passive. The active player will always take action first during a turn, such as playing cards and setting attackers.
Passive Player - The Passive player is the one who responds to the active player during the turn, and players will switch these roles each turn.
Turn chart-
Step 1: Aura Phase- Both players receive one aura of the type they chose when the game began. Players can only make the aura of that type during their aura phase. For example, if a player chose fire to start the game, that player can only produce fire aura during the aura phase.
*A player may choose to use a channeler from his/her aura deck instead of adding an aura of their main type.
Step 2: Draw Phase- Each player draws a card from the top of his/her deck.
Step 3: Active Player's Main Phase- The Active player may play cards from his/her hand.
Step 4: Resolution of Active Player's Main Phase- Active player's main phase ends. Passive player's main phase begins.
Step 5: Passive Player's Main Phase- The Passive player may pay cards from his/her hand.
Step 6: Resolution of Passive Players Main Phase
Step 7: Battle Phase-
A) The Active player sets aside his/her attackers, then the Passive player sets aside blockers. Attacks inflict damage equal to their attack to the blocking creature, but the blocking creature does not inflict damage. If atk and blk are equal, the blocking creature is destroyed. Only creatures with equal to or higher speed than an attacking creature can block that creature.
If a creature blocks another, the attacking creature inflicts damage equal to its attack to the blocking creature's defense. If a creature does equal to or higher than the def of the other creature, the creature taking the damage is put into the discard pile.
B) Counter Attack- The Passive player sets aside his/her creatures that survived the attack, and may attack with them. The active player may choose to block the assault with his/her creatures that did not attack.
Step 8: Resolution of Battle- Once battle is over, damage clears from all creatures.
Step 9: Active players second Main Phase- Active player may play cards during this phase.
Step 8: Resolution of Active Player's Second Main
Step 9: Passive Players Second Main Phase
Step 10: Resolution of Passive Players Second Main Phase
Step 11: End Phase
Step 12: Role Exchange- In between turns, players will switch roles between active and passive player.
