Introduction:
In order to understand this archetype, it is important to understand the ability star call:
Star Call- (Whenever this creature enters the war zone, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Put a burst or arcane from among them into your hand, and the rest into your discard pile).
This ability allows us to sift through the top 3 cards of our deck and grab a burst or arcane. I feel this is a really strong idea.
Key Creatures:
Delrim Apprentice- (Relic Creature- Robot Warrior, 10/10, Speed:3, Cost:1, Uncommon)- Each time you cast a burst or arcane card, Delrim Apprentice gets +10/+0 until the end of the turn.
Mystic of Dremal- (Water, Creature- Ice Elf Wizard, 10/20, Speed:3, Cost:1W, Common)- Star Call- (Whenever this creature enters the war zone, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Put a burst or arcane from among them into your hand, and the rest into your discard pile).
Sendu Starcaller- (Water, Creature- Grippli Shaman, 10/10, Speed:3, Cost:W, Common)- Star Call- (Whenever this creature enters the war zone, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Put a burst or arcane from among them into your hand, and the rest into your discard pile).
Tide Shaman- (Water, Creature- Elemental Shaman, 10/10, Speed:3, Cost:W, Common)- W: Look at the top card of your deck. If it is a burst or arcane card, reveal it, and put it into your hand.
Trian Elder- (Water, Creature- Grippli Wizard, 20/20, Speed:3, Cost:1W, Rare)- Whenever a Grippli creature enters the war zone under your control, you may draw a card.
1W: Return target creature to its owner’s hand.
These 5 creatures make up 20 cards of our deck, allowing us to tempo with them. Trian Elder allows us to repeat our star call abilities over and over, while drawing cards. Now, we need some burst and arcanes that do cool things.
Burst/Arcane package:
Baffle- (Wind, Burst, Cost:A, Common)- Negate target burst card unless its controller pays 2. Draw a card.
Bellowing Tide- (Water, Arcane, Cost:2W, Uncommon)- Draw 2 cards.
Tempest- (If you have made another cast this turn, copy this cast).
Blast Burn- (Fire, Burst, Cost:F, Uncommon)- Blast Burn inflicts 20 damage to target player. That player must discard a card.
Burning Insight- (Fire, Burst, Cost:1F, Common)- Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Put 1 into your hand, and the rest into your discard pile.
Reckless Tutor- (Fire, Arcane, Cost:F, Uncommon)- Pull a random card out of your deck, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle the deck afterward.
Scholar's Grace- (Water, Arcane, Cost:W, Uncommon)- Draw 2 cards. If you do not control a Water creature, discard a card.
Souls of Tralbare- (Wind, Burst, Cost:1A, Uncommon)- Put 2 10/10 Spirit tokens onto the war zone under your control (Wind, Creature- Spirit, 10/10, Speed: 4).
2A: Return Souls of Tralbare from your discard pile to your hand.
