"The idle mind is one of the most dangerous weapons society has ever known, for it knows no barriers. It cannot be contained by war or famine, and one's mind can always think of a master plan. I have found that my mind is one of my greatest allies in this realm, for I have used it to take my kingdom to far greater heights than those before me. Entar would have been proud to see the great Tidal Nations brought together under one great ruler, who has the mind of a cunning viper and the endurance of steel. It took great time and effort to unite all of the islands together, but it has been done. The Great Barrier War settled much of the riots in the land, and made me the man I am today. The people demanded a king, and I stood before them on that day. I embraced my destiny with open arms, ascending to my place in society. Entar foretold that a great leader would arise out of the turmoil of this realm, and I was the being he spoke of. Perhaps Entar was not the insane talebearer the outside nations thought he was, but a great teacher to us all. I still read many of his books today, hoping I can learn how to become a better leader.
With the iron pen I write my thoughts today, pondering on the beliefs of many before me. The great Entar left many writings of his wisdom, speaking of how a leader should embrace the thoughts of his subjects, giving them a sense of friendship with their superior. I am no friend to my subjects, for they will not fear me if I am. I instead rule in the shadows, using The Whisperers to my advantage. They are my loyal spies who go through the night making sure no one in this great nation goes astray. If one or two attempt to rebel, society will surely follow them. That is why I cannot be viewed as a mere friend to those I must rule, but I have to be more. I have used my mind to strategize against other nations, and even my own. I sit from day to day playing chess, thinking of how my subjects are simply pawns in my noble game. Entar showed too much compassion for his people, and that is why his nation struggled. He was a noble man, but his heart held him from achieving his greatest plan of success. He wanted to unite the Tidal Nations together, but he was far too weak of a man to do so.
Now, I am writing this journal to clear my mind of the oppression that besets it. I have so many ideologies, but so little time to explain them. I am not certain many in this realm could even comprehend the inner truths of worlds beyond our understanding, but how I wish I could enlighten our world! I wish I could reach into their minds and fill them with knowledge so we could all live in harmony! One truth I know is certain, the mind is a gift to the human body, in hopes that we should use it for the good of others. I know that my intelligence far outweighs the other beings in my time, and that is why it is my burden to be entrusted with our fate. This realm of Eternia now needs me more than ever, and I am willing to share what I have learned."
